The reverse spiral flute design is just about identical to the Sears Craftsman Bolt-Out. The Sears version accepts a 1/2" square drive, and fits into 1-1/16" sockets. With the Sears version of this tool, you are able to get a lot more power behind breaking that bolt free. I have used the Sears version with a 1/2" breaker bar, 1/2" impact driver, and a huge 1-1/16" wrench. So if Sears offers the same socket sizes, why get this one? If a fastener was rusted, stuck, or stripped; you need all the power you can get, right? The same reason why you have both size sockets. Because there are some circumstances where a 3/8" drive tool allows you access. There are times when a smaller drive size ratchet makes all the difference in the world.

You can never have enough tools. Get this one. As with all my other tools, I buy them when I don't need them. When I do need them, I'm glad that I bought them. You don't want to be the guy who needs a tool he doesn't have.
