Customer Review: Fantastic, but PREP correctly!

Bought this extractor kit after one of the main bolts on rear rack of my commuter bike (bicycle) sheared off. I'm a pretty aggressive rider and since this is my rain bike I have plenty of gear loaded on the rack. This kit is really amazing BUT make absolutely sure you pre-drill that pilot hole deep enough! First few tries just weren't enough and I was very frustrated with the extractor. Since this was a pretty small bolt and not all that long I ended up drilling all the way through. Hammered the extractor in there an BAM, backed out no problem.

I suggest this quick test for pilot hole depth: If you hammer the extractor into the pilot hole and it's in there pretty well, doesn't wiggle around and feels solid, THEN you're ready to back it out. Otherwise the extractor will spin without biting.
